The Filter row is located below the column headers of the list grid and above the first record of data. You can show or hide the Filter row by right-clicking on any column header of the list and selecting Filter row, which toggles the Filter row on or off.
To filter the list using the filter row
- Confirm on the list toolbar that the Filter row icon is active (
). If it is not active then click the Filter row icon to activate it. - Under the column header, click into the Filter row to begin entering data.
- Enter the starting letters of what you are searching for. The list will automatically filter and display records that contain the search text entered.

You are not limited to only filtering by one column. For example, on the Clients list, if you wanted to filter for all active clients where the account representative is John Smith, enter "act" under Client status and "smi" under Account rep.
