Click Client administration > Clients. On the Clients list, select and open a client and then click Fees > Recurring fees. Open a recurring fee.

Click Time and billing > Lists > Recurring fees. Open a recurring fee.

Press CTRL+Q to move the cursor to the quick launch field. Type the recurring keyword into the quick launch box. Select the Recurring fees result. Open a recurring fee.
Field names and the order in which they appear may have been changed by your system administrator. This article refers to the standard Primacy Workplace form.

Status |
The Status of the fee. When a new fee is added the status will show as Submitted when it is accepted the status will change to Approved. The field is updated automatically by Primacy processes. |

Starts on |
The date the Fee is to be first taken. |

Expires on |
The date this fee will expire and no longer be calculated and posted. |

Client |
The name of the Client this fee is regarding. |
|
Matter |
The Matter to which this fee may relate. This field is only available when the system property Use matters is set to Yes. This system property can be set in the Settings module > Application configuration > System properties > Use matters. |

Fee |
The name of the selected fee. |
|
Business unit |
The options available in this pick list are user definable. Business units are created in the Settings module > Tasks > Add business unit. |
|
Rate basis |
There are two options available in this pick list; Custom and Use current fee amount. Selecting Custom will make the field Annual Charge available. This field will override the fee rate for this client only. |
|
Currency |
The currency in which the fee will be calculated and taken. The field defaults to the base currency of the client but can be changed. The options available in this pick list are user definable and can be set in the Settings module > System-wide codes > Currencies. |

Invoice frequency |
The frequency on which the fee will be charged to the client. |
|
Annual charge |
The annual amount of the fee. This field is available when the rate basis is set to Custom otherwise the field is populated by the default rate entered when the fee is created. |

Invoice date (Next regular charge) |
The date this charge will next be invoiced. |
|
Amount (Next regular charge) |
The amount of the next charge. |
|
Charge stub payment |
Selecting this check box and completing Stub payment > Invoice date will take an initial fee which does not fall in line with its normal invoice date and invoice frequency, entered under Service details. If you would like the value to be automatically calculated you can navigate to System properties and search for Stub payment calculation method. The options for Value are By months or By days. |

Invoice date (Stub payment) |
The date on which the stub payment is to be invoiced. |
|
Override first payment calculation? |
Checking this box will make the field Stub payment > Amount available. |

Amount (Stub payment) |
This field is only available if the field Stub payment > Override first payment calculation? is checked. Enter the amount of the stub payment. |

Pre pay fees? |
Check this box to pre pay a number of periods. |
|
Invoice date (Prepayment) |
Enter a date that the pre paid amount will be invoiced. |

Periods |
Enter the number of periods to pre pay. |

Amount (Prepayment) |
This is a Primacy calculated field. The Annual charge divided by the Invoice frequency multiplied by Periods. |
