Click Client administration > Contacts. On the Contacts list, select and open a person contact and then click Information > General.

Press CTRL+Q to move the cursor to the quick launch field. Type the contacts keyword into the quick launch box. Select the Contacts result. Open a person contact and then click Information > General.

Enter the name of (partial name of) an organization contact into the Search for contact or employee field. Open the person and then click Information > General.
This form holds general information about a person.
Field names and the order in which they appear may have changed . This article refers to the standard Primacy Workplace form.

Compliance level |
This field contains the compliance level chosen when the person is first created. The field is unavailable when the form is saved. It is important that this field is set correctly during the set up process. |

Compliance jurisdiction |
Enter the compliance jurisdiction. |

Compliance method |
This field contains the compliance method used when the individual was first created and subsequently approved in Primacy. |
|
Exemption used (Compliance method = Exemption) |
The reason for using Exemption as the Compliance method. The data in this field can only be changed when the status of the individual is pending approval. |

Title |
Enter the title by which the person is addressed. |
|
Formal salutation |
The formal way by which the person is to be addressed. |
|
Given names |
The person's first name. |
|
Informal salutation |
The informal way by which the person is to be addressed. |
|
Last name |
The person's last (family) name. The field is limited to 100 characters. |
|
Display name |
The person's display name. |
|
Maiden name |
The person's maiden name. |
|
Initials |
The initials of the person. |
|
Person type |
The person type. E.g. Vendor. |

Legal name |
The legal name by which the person is known. |

Business unit |
Select the business unit associated with this person. |

Currency |
The currency in which the contact operates. |

Financial year end |
Select the date that the financial year end is recorded for this Person. |

Use this field to record an alternate lookup code. Review and maintain these system properties in the Settings module > Lists > Application configuration > System properties. |

Mail addressee |
Enter the mail addressee for the person. Primacy uses a shared address database. This field can be applied to mailshots and statements using shared addresses. |

Do not e-mail |
If Do not e-mail is checked then the person cannot be e-mailed. |
|
Main phone |
Enter the main telephone number for the person. This is a free format field so use any in house numbering conventions for ease of reporting. The field is limited to 64 characters. |

Do not fax |
If Do not fax is checked then the person cannot be faxed. |
|
Other phone |
Enter an alternative telephone number for the person. The field is limited to 64 characters. |
|
Do not mail |
If Do not mail is checked then the person cannot be mailed. |

Fax |
Enter the fax number for the person. The field is limited to 64 characters. |

Do not phone |
If Do not phone is checked then the person cannot be telephoned. |

Web site |
Enter a web site for the person. The field is limited to 200 characters. |
