Click Client administration > Client research > Client accounts. On the Client accounts list, click Add account or select and account from the list.

Click Client administration > Clients. On the Clients list, select and open a client in the list, and then click Assets > Accounts.
Use this form to create and maintain new accounts for business party records.
Field names and the order in which they appear may have changed . This article refers to the standard Primacy Workplace form.

The name of the business party. |

Classify investments as long-term |
Select this check box to classify investment accounts as long-term. |

Account type |
The type of account.
|
|
Account name |
The name of the account. Can be renamed from the default account type name. |
|
Business unit |
Type the name of the business unit, or select it from the list. |
|
This is a discretionary account |
Select this check box if the account is a discretionary. The client would have discretion over the funds in the account, meaning you can make decisions on what to do with the funds in the account. This will also determine which fee is charged as part of the AUM/AUC month end fee calculation. Is discretionary will charge the AUM fee and if this checkbox is not checked, the AUC will be charged. |

Currency |
The currency of the account. |
|
Financial institution |
The name of the financial institution. |
|
This is a fiduciary account |
Select this check box if the account will be a fiduciary account. This will be checked automatically for accounts held outside of the Master Institution. |

Trust account |
Select this option if the account is a trust account. |
|
Trust or operating account |
Select this option if the account is an operating account. Internal bank accounts should be operating accounts for your own operations. Trust accounts should be accounts which have client funds in them. |

Omnibus account structure |
Whether or not this account will be a part of an omnibus account structure. These are pooled accounts, where one physical bank account holds the funds of multiple clients. |

Omnibus account |
Select an omnibus account from those offered in the list. |
|
Account number |
A nickname for the account. |
|
Minimum balance/overdraft limit |
The minimum balance required in the account before the system begins to provide warning messages for any transaction involving this account. |

Hold balance |
The minimum amount of funds to hold within the account. |
|
Related account |
The related associated account. In order to select an account |
|
Deposit/withdraw interest to/from |
If selected, interest amounts will be posted to the selected account rather than posting them in this account. |

Allow payments from this account |
Select this check box if this account will allow payments. |
|
Allow trading from this account |
Select this check box if this account will allow trading. |
|
Allow Fees from this account |
Select this check box if this account will allow fees. |
|
Default payment account |
Select this check box if this account will be the default payment account. |

Default trading account |
Select this check box if this account will be the default trading account. |

Select this check box if this account will be the default fee account. |

Account supports auto reconciliation |
Whether or not this account support automatic reconciliation. |
Bank account
Use this tab to add further details to the account.
This tab will not appear for omnibus accounts.

Rate adjustment
Apply customized interest adjustments and bookkeeping details for the account.
This tab will not appear if any of the following account types are selected; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Card,
Depository, Fixed Asset, Inter Company Loan Payable, Inter Company Loan Receivable, Investment, Long Term Liability, Other Assets,
Other Current Asset or Other Current Liability.

Override deposit interest rate |
A default deposit rate is defined per type of account. Selecting this check box will replace the default rate with a custom rate for the specific bank account as per the next two fields. |

Enter the interest rate to replace the default rate. |

Adjust rate by |
Enter a variance to apply to the default rate e.g. 0.05. This will give this account a deposit rate of 1.55 if the default rate was 1.5. |

Override overdraft interest rate |
A default overdraft rate is defined per type of account. Selecting this check box will replace the default rate with a custom rate for the specific bank account as per the next two fields. |
